Three Ways Mentors Shape GMx Companies.
Mentor-Judge
Founding mentor-judges review qualified applicants during the GMx award process. You evaluate companies that have already cleared the CapitalOS data assessment — bringing your real-world experience to the final judgement on award tier.
Commitment: Award cycles — typically 2–3 rounds per year.
Advisory Mentor
Award recipients are matched with mentors from the GMx network for ongoing advisory engagement. You meet regularly with your assigned company — setting direction, opening doors, and holding leadership accountable to their growth objectives.
Commitment: Typically 2–4 hours per month per company.
IR & Event Participation
GMx mentors participate in IR events alongside award recipients — providing credibility, context, and endorsement to investors. You don't just advise; you become part of the company's fundraising story.
Commitment: Selective — based on your availability and company match.

We curate the mentor network deliberately. Quality over volume — because award recipients deserve mentors who can genuinely move the needle.
Founding Mentor-Judges
The founding layer of the GMx mentor network. Typically senior operators, industry veterans, or successful entrepreneurs. Founding mentor-judges shape the evaluation standard and are the benchmark the network is built around.
- 10+ years of senior business leadership
- Track record of building or scaling companies
- Sector expertise relevant to GMx applicant pool
- Commitment to the GMx evaluation process
Network Mentors
The broader GMx mentor pool — matched to award recipients based on sector, stage, and challenge. Network mentors may or may not participate as judges, but are actively engaged with companies post-award.
- Domain expertise in at least one area of business growth
- Available for structured monthly engagement
- Interested in the mentee's fundraising and scaling journey
- Willing to provide honest, direct feedback
